Founded in 1946, the Lighthouse for the Blind of the Palm Beaches helps people of all ages to lead active, independent and productive lives despite vision impairment.

To enable children born visually impaired to develop fully, we provide Early Intervention and Preschool Services, as well as, a special Computer Learning Program.  For older blind person, our Adjustment Training Program teaches adaptive living skills and our Orientation & Mobility instruction teaches safe travel skills.  To help adults of working age succeed at productive careers, we offer Vocational Services, as well as, manufacturing jobs in our Industrial Center.

Other services include our Low Vision Clinic & Services enabling people to make the most of partial sight, our Technology Training Center teaching the use of "talking" computers and other advanced equipment, an Aids & Appliances Store providing many handy personal and household adaptive devices, and Support Groups.

Some services including the Low Vision Clinic are by appointment only.  Please call for information.

Because the Lighthouse is a private, non-profit agency, these services depend almost entirely on charitable contributions.
